Happy Year of the Horse!

Celebrating all the special things that horses teach us, and the ways they enhance our lives.

According to the Chinese Zodiac signs, 2026 is the year of the horse. The Year of the Fire Horse is a remarkable event in the Chinese zodiac. While the zodiac cycles every 12 years, the Fire Horse year appears just once every 60 years, making it especially rare.

This year is celebrated for its dynamic energy, symbolizing passion, change, and transformation. Horses represent strength, freedom, and spirited perseverance, and the element of fire magnifies these qualities, igniting their brilliance to new heights.

“As communities prepare to welcome the Year of the Horse, we turn to a different story about the role these animals play in people’s lives. Around the world, horse-based therapy is helping veterans with PTSD, children with learning disabilities, and people with mobility challenges rebuild confidence and balance. In the U.S. state of Washington, one center is harnessing both the power and gentleness of horses to allow participants to experience movement and healing in ways few other therapies can.” Roza Kazan reports.
